Welcome to 2025 and the year of "The Donald", like him or loathe him

FSU SA welcomes you to 2025 and right up will be President Donald Trump's first executive order today which is called “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.” Who'd have thought that a 14-word title could be clickbait?

Welcome to 2025 and the year of "The Donald", like him or loathe him

The FSU SA welcomes all to a new year that is unlikely to be any less intense than the many that have preceded it!

Today Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States. His presence has already been felt internationally. His first executive              order he will sign today is called “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”

The order:

  • Establishes Government-wide the biological reality of two sexes and clearly defines male and female;

               - all radical gender ideology guidance, communication, policies, and forms are removed;

               -  agencies will cease pretending that men can be women and women can be men when enforcing laws that protect against sex discrimination;

               - “woman” means an “adult human female";

               - government identification like passports and personnel records will reflect biological reality and not self-assessed gender identity.

  • Ends the practice of housing men in women’s prisons and taxpayer funded “transition” for male prisoners.
  • Ends the forced recitation of “preferred pronouns” and protects Americans’ First Amendment and statutory rights to recognize the biological and binary nature of sex. This will include protection in the workplace and in federal funded entities such as schools.

The consequences will be profound for America and the world. Will we see huge pushback from gender ideologues of the past decade? As we say, "hier          kom kak!" Enjoy!

This year FSU SA will:

  • continue to promote freedom of thought and speech, call out attempts to restrict it, and highlight abuses of free speech locally and abroad;
  • investigate a project to promote of free speech to high school students to inculcate the right to free speech in the next generation;
  • develop a mini-newsletter on WhatsApp once a month.

I will be attending the ARC2025 Conference in London next month. ARC stands for the Alliance of Responsible Citizenship and will feature speakers such as Jordan Peterson, Sir Niall Ferguson, Ayan Hirsi Ali, Konstantin Kissin, Tony Abbot, Lord Toby Young and Douglas Murray. I will report back!

Buckle up and kind regards,

Sara Gon - FSU SA Director
